Speaking of superstitions … had you asked me a year or two ago whether I was superstitious, I’d’ve said no. Then I read the superstitious saying, “Purse on the floor, money out the door,” and now I won’t even set my purse on the floor for 10 seconds while I put my boots on. Superstitious in spite of myself! So I will heed Ms Bernard’s words when it comes to gifting and knives. Can’t hurt.

I also try not to leave my purse on the floor for that very reason….and you’re right – it can’t hurt!
